The Astrid Lindgren Prize 2017

The author and psychologist Jenny Jägerfeld recieves the Astrid Lindgren Prize 2017 for "creating great reading experiences for young readers". Jenny Jägerfeld debuted in 2006 and has, among others, released the August Prize awarded youth novel; Här ligger jag och blöder (Gilla Böcker, 2010) and most recently the celebrated children's novel Brorsan är kung! (Rabén & Sjögren, 2016). Congratulations!

The Astrid Lindgren Prize was founded by publisher Rabén & Sjögren in 1967 to mark Astrid Lindgren's 60th birthday. It is awarded in November every year for meritous authorship within the realm of Swedish literature for children and young adults. The prize money is SEK 50 000.
